Some of our Upper School students were recently inducted into the National Honor Society (NHS), a prestigious organization that recognizes outstanding high school students. During the ceremony, students shared stories about their teachers and how IC Imagine has positively impacted their lives. NHS goes beyond just acknowledging academic achievement, it also recognizes students who have shown excellence in areas such as leadership, character, and service.
Last Friday, we held our highly anticipated yearly Fall Festival – a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together and enjoy a wide range of activities. The event was not only fun-filled but also served as a fundraiser for multiple clubs and grade levels.

To kick off their next reading unit, second-graders were treated to a book tasting! With the upcoming module on Westward Expansion, students will read a variety of books on the subject. Popcorn and dried fruit were on the menu to help students understand how pioneers prepared to feed themselves. Additionally, pretzels and marshmallows were used to craft a hammer, similar to the one John Henry used when helping build the railroad West!

We are thrilled to announce that one of our Seniors, Jeremy Bush, has been named one of the Semifinalists in the 69th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. These academically talented high school seniors have the opportunity to compete for some 7,140 National Merit Scholarships worth almost $28 million that will be awarded next spring. To move on to the Finalist level of the competition, Semifinalists must meet several requirements. It is expected that around 95% of the Semifinalists will qualify for the Finalist standing, and nearly 50% of the Finalists will receive a National Merit Scholarship, earning the title of Merit Scholar®. Last Friday, the Upper School held its traditional homecoming dance, which was the culmination of a week-long celebration of school spirit. In addition to the much-anticipated dance, the students enjoyed a week filled with various activities, such as Spirit Week and the Pep Rally. It was a remarkable week that was brimming with Kingfisher pride!

State Employees Credit Union delivered "The Reality of Money" presentation to upper school students, allowing them to make financial decisions as young adults with jobs and responsibilities. The presentation emphasized managing monthly expenses, including housing and transportation.
