Upper School students are required to complete ten hours of community service. Throughout the year, students can volunteer with their Advisory groups to fulfill this requirement. We encourage all students to embrace the spirit of service and make a positive impact on the world around them.
Ms. Paxon's 3rd-grade class celebrated a "Thankful Breakfast" before the winter break. Parents and students gathered together to enjoy breakfast and share what they were grateful for.

We offer juniors and seniors the opportunity to earn high school and college credit through dual enrollment with AB-Tech Community College. The credit earned is accepted at all North Carolina State Universities and other private schools while carrying the same weight as Advanced Placement courses in a student's GPA calculation. Some courses are online, while others require students to travel to campus.

The concert band of the ICI Band Program, mostly made up of 7th graders, is a new ensemble preparing for their All-District Band Auditions. Despite being a new group, they are talented and have made great progress.

Before Winter Break K-3rd were tasked with creating artwork inspired by the famous painter Wayne Thiebaud's style. Their focus was on drawing food and feasts using basic 3D forms, resulting in some impressive works of art.

In Art 1 Upper School, students have been using their chess and sculpting skills to create Chess Piece Sculptures out of cardboard. Each student selected two different chess pieces, sketched out a plan, and gathered materials to make creative pieces.
