ACT Prep:
English Department Support: We are utilizing two new technology tools, No Red Ink and Vocabulary.com, to strengthen students’ grammar, writing, and vocabulary skills—key components of the ACT. No Red Ink is a powerful program that is transforming the way our students write by providing personalized grammar and writing support.
Subject-Specific ACT Warm-Ups: Students will engage in ACT-style warm-up questions across Math, English, and Science classes to familiarize themselves with test formats and question types.
Math 3 Review Sessions: Students in Math 3 will have dedicated review time in class to reinforce key concepts and problem-solving strategies.
Advisory Support for Juniors: Beginning February 17th, Mr. Crayton will be offering additional ACT math support during advisory for AP Precalculus and AP Calculus juniors. This is a great opportunity for students to receive targeted instruction and guidance.
We are committed to helping our students succeed and appreciate your support in encouraging them to take full advantage of these resources. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Asheville Empire Lacrosse- Asheville Empire Lacrosse spent this week in our Upper School PE classes. See below for a message from their leadership.
Hello IC Imagine Parents!! My name is Sean Humphreys and I am the Executive Director of the Asheville Empire Lacrosse Club. We spent the past week teaching the basics of Lacrosse in the middle school PE classes. We had a blast hanging out with your children and sharing our passion for this great sport. Our organization offers different opportunities to play Lacrosse in the Asheville area for boys and girls of all ages, whether it be through clinics, camps or recreational and competitive teams. Most of what we do caters to those just getting started in the game as we are in a part of the country where lacrosse is still growing. Our mission is to continue that growth through these partnerships with schools and by what we offer to the local community.
If you have a child interested in lacrosse, there are 2 ways to engage:
Sign-up for our spring recreational program. Information can be found the Asheville Empire Website; and/or
Sign-up to play at IC Imagine. Their team began last year and hopes to add more players this spring to continue to grow this sport at your school. Practices are immediately after school; no experience required; equipment provided; no cost to play.
Thank you for your consideration and we hope to see you on the Lacrosse Field with us or IC Imagine!
