Lower School Families,
Happy New Year and welcome back Kingfishers! School is in full swing, and our students are diving into their work.
Enrollment season is back, and our greatest advertisement is you! If you know anyone who might be interested in learning more about IC Imagine, please encourage them to attend one of our upcoming enrollment events. If there is a sibling of a current student that does not already attend Imagine who you would like to attend next year, be sure to complete the application (yes, siblings of current students must apply for enrollment). Current students will complete the letter of intent through Infinite Campus in February.
Next week, there will be lots going on! We will kick off Safety Patrol and Winter Adventure Club on Monday, Picture Day is Tuesday, and Bring Your Family to Spanish begins in 3rd-5th grades (see info below).
Now that the cold weather is here, please remember:
We go outside for recess whenever possible and kids spend time outside for arrival and dismissal each day- keep this in mind when dressing for school. To help with lost items, please ensure that names are in everything!

Kicking off Safety Patrol! We are so excited to start Safety Patrol for the 24-25 school year next week. These 5th graders will be present during arrival and dismissal to support students in following the DIVE expectations.

Bring your Family to Investments (3rd-5th grade) Due to the snow day on Friday 1/10, we needed to revise the Spanish investment days. Please check the new dates and re-register. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility.

Come to Spanish with your student! We kindly request that only one adult accompanies each student, and we ask that siblings not be brought along, as this time is specially reserved for you and your child.

2025-26 School Calendar The IC Imagine Board of Directors approved the 2025-26 school calendar at its meeting yesterday. The calendar can be easily accessed from the Family Resources webpage (click Current Families tab at the top of our website).
Jazz Band Join us Tuesday, 1/28 from 5-7p for an evening filled with music and delicious noodles as the Jazz band presents a night to remember. Savor a spaghetti dinner while enjoying the tunes from the IC Imagine Jazz band. Secure your tickets here!
ASCEND Registration is now open for our 2025 ASCEND Summer Camp. Early bird registration until 3/31. Limited spots available. Open to rising 1st - 5th graders. Register via the Infinite Campus School Store. For non-IC Imagine students who'd like to register, they should use this link.
MTB The Kingfisher MTB club has new apparel that is available for purchase in the School Store. Check it out!
The Exceptional Children’s Assistance Center (ECAC) ECAC invites families to nominate their child’s school for the “Tell Us Something Good” Award! Share your positive experiences with your child’s teacher or school showcasing their welcoming attitude and enthusiasm for working with families of students with disabilities. Please submit experiences from the 2023-2024 school year through December 2024. The submission deadline has been extended to February 1, 2025.
Student ID Numbers We are asking students to memorize their student number. Your child’s number can be found on the home screen of your Infinite Campus parent account. Please help with this at home. Their number will be used when they check-in late and/or check-out when leaving early.
Attendance Notes & Requests Reminder: For day-of and upcoming absences, late arrivals or early dismissals, we encourage families to use the Absence Requests module on their Infinite Campus Parent portal. (This can be found on both the desktop and mobile platforms).
Navigate to the menu and select “More”, then select “Absence Requests”
Select the applicable child and complete all the required fields
If you have a note or other documentation to support the request, it can be uploaded here.
Note that if you request an Educational Opportunity or a College Visit through this process, there is an additional form that must be completed so that administration can provide approval. See information on the website.
For prior absences, notes should be emailed to attendance@icimagine.org or dropped off at the front office.
