Kingfisher MTB is gearing up for its 9th season! The MS and US MTB program is hosting 2 after school sessions on Tuesday 11/19 and Thursday 11/21 until 5 pm. This is a great opportunity to get together, ride the trail and have fun. It also provides a chance for students to see if they want to join this program for the Winter/Spring. If you are interested in more information on these after school sessions or joining the MTB team, please complete this form. There will be an informational session on Monday 11/18 at 3:30 on campus for parents and athletes to learn about upcoming opportunities to ride on campus or join the MTB team. If you don’t have a bike, please reach out to Coach Barrett.
The Athletics Spirit Store is open and will close November 17h at midnight. Be sure to take a look at some great Kingfisher gear for the following sports. [ORDER HERE]

During our SEL advisory lessons, upper school students engage in reflective activities that help them cultivate a deeper sense of gratitude and thankfulness. Through group discussions and mindfulness exercises, they explore the importance of appreciating both big and small moments in their lives.
The grading period ended on Friday, November 8th and report cards will be issued on Monday, November 25th. The first few weeks back students had time to complete remediation for the first quarter. Any new grades will be included in the grade for the second quarter.
After our last IPO meeting, we have worked with teachers to adjust the language on our proficiency scale. We continue to work with our teachers to ensure that students are being evaluated on the mastery of standards that are presented as part of the curriculum for their course. These changes can be viewed on our website: https://www.icimagine.org/o/ic-imagine/page/report-cards-and-grading-scales
To account for some lost instruction during Helene, we have shifted AP testing to the last possible date next spring. AP Statistics and AP Human Geography will test on the regular schedule(early May) but all other AP tests will follow a two week delay(late May). To accommodate students who may have multiple AP tests on the same day, we are prioritizing the scheduling of AP statistics and AP Human Geography tests first to ensure students have ample time to complete each of their exams.
Drivers ed registration link is now live. There is space for 10 more students then the class will close. Please register right away if you are interested. Students must attend all sessions including Saturday, December 7th for credit. No refunds.

Lastly, we need your support in our parking lot. We have families parking in designated handicap spots without placards or tags. When this happens, there is nowhere for our families & students with handicap tags. Thank you in advance for keeping these families and students in mind and choosing where to park!
Have a great weekend,
