Class of 2025,
Many of you are in the midst of completing and submitting college applications and may need support. Please know that many colleges in and out of state have extended their early action deadlines by 2 weeks. If you are a student that needs to take advantage of this extension, I would advise you to send an email to the Admissions Office directly letting them know your name, location, and that you are planning to utilize the early action extension deadline before submitting your application past the deadline.
I am still able to send your official high school transcript and letters of recommendation via SCOIR to each college you apply to on your behalf. Please note: I can only send teacher letters of recommendation if the teacher has uploaded it into SCOIR. Students cannot see whether or not the letters have been uploaded, but I can, so feel free to check with me. If teachers have not yet uploaded your letter, you will want to email them with a friendly reminder :) If they are in a situation where they do not have access to the internet, we will notify the college of this.
Transcript Request Form - This must be completed for Mrs. Vernau to send your transcript and teacher letters of recommendation to colleges!
Lastly, please continue to check your email as often as you can! Once you hit “submit” on your college applications, colleges will keep you updated on the process and any materials they still need from you via email. They may also give you access to additional financial aid resources via email after you’ve applied, so don’t miss out simply because you’re not checking your email! If they are sending you notifications that they’ve not received your official high school transcript or letters of recommendation and you’ve already completed my Transcript Request form, please email me directly so that I can make sure it went through and get that resolved.
We will get through this together,
Mrs. Vernau

NC Residency Form - do this soon! (NC colleges will ask for your NC RDS number on the application)
AB Tech Transcript Request Form (if you’ve taken dual enrollment in High School and need to send an official transcript to colleges.)
AB Tech Dual Enrollment:
If you are taking an AB Tech dual enrollment course, your instructor should not be assigning any new work currently as they are closed until at least 10/14. It is still recommended that you check your email and catch up on previous work if instructors will accept late work. Please look out for an announcement on or before 10/14 regarding their anticipated re-opening date.
Seniors planning to attend AB Tech after graduation?
The AB Tech application does not need to be started until January. They will host an application and financial aid workshop for seniors on our campus during the school day for interested seniors in January 2025.
