Middle School

Middle School Families:

We have had a very successful start to the school year.  Our first Imagination Day was tons of fun and your children made our Flavors of the World club very successful for its first meeting this year.  I have never seen kids bring so much food, even homemade Tamales.  You should ask them if their House is in the lead for Live School points.

Our trip to the Barrier Islands was a huge success. The students enjoyed their time outside, especially the mud pit.  They learned about the various ecosystems that encompass the Barrier Islands.  Our next big trip will take place May 6-9th when our 8th graders get to explore our Nation’s Capital.  Stay tuned for information about that trip when we return from Fall Break.

We hope that you have a restful fall break and remember that September 30th is a teacher workday.

Kirby the Kingfisher is looking forward to celebrating Spirit Week October 7-11!  Get your children thinking about how they want to engage with this fun time.

Join the Grounds Committee for their first workday on October 23, from 3 to 5 PM. The main focus will be on expanding and maintaining the pollinator garden. Sign up here!

Fall Festival - Join us for an afternoon of family fun and community building on Friday, October 18th from 3-6 pm!  This will be our biggest festival yet with inflatables, games, food, drinks, raffle baskets and much more!  The Festival is FREE to attend, however tickets are required to participate in activities, raffle baskets and can be used to purchase most food/drink items. Volunteers are essential for this event -  please sign up for at least one 30 minute slot.   Discounted pre-sale tickets go on sale Monday, October 7th.  Click here for up to date information.  We hope to see you there!

Have you seen the banners along our fence?  These are companies who are supporting our school as corporate sponsors…and you can help!  Do you own your own business or work for a company that we could ask to support our school?  Sponsorships start at $500.  Click here for more information or reach out to current parent and development committee member Matt Maher (mmaher@exactwater.com).  We would love to “fill the fence”!
