Back to school news

IC Imagine Families,

We trust that you are enjoying a fantastic summer. Next week July 22, the main campus entrance will be closed for tree removal. Families and staff are advised to utilize the emergency entrance/exit located at the top of the loop.

If you are interested in ASCEND please complete the interest form by Sunday, July 21st.  Continue reading below for more information regarding back-to-school.

ATTENDANCE & ENROLLMENT

Attendance is critically important to student success!  Our first day of school is Wednesday, August 7th.  Additionally, the first 20 days of attendance inform our funding for the entire school year, so it is essential for students to be present.  If you know your child will be absent when school begins, please email enrollment@icimagine.org

From experience, we know decisions related to school enrollment can alter quickly during the summer based on situations and relocations related to employment and family/student needs.  If your child(ren) will not return to IC Imagine next year, please notify us immediately by sending an email to enrollment@icimagine.org

Lastly, the Attendance Policy (Policy 401) has been updated. One change to point out is that K-8 students picked up after 3:50 pm who are not registered with ASCEND or participating in an after-school activity will incur a late pick up fee of $10/day late. [Click to learn more]

INFINITE CAMPUS & STUDENT REGISTRATION

Infinite Campus is the new student information system for the State of NC.  We have updated our website and will be sharing much more information with families in the coming weeks.  Please note that families will be required to complete the registration for their students through Infinite Campus in mid-July.  We will be sending specific communications and instructions the week of July 15th. KINGFISHER KICKOFF AND KINGFISHER KRUSH RELEASE EVENT

SAVE THE DATE for this event at The Mule at Devil’s Foot Beverage Company (131 Sweeten Creek Rd., Asheville).  We are grateful to have the unique opportunity to collaborate with Asheville-based Devil's Foot Beverage Company to design our own custom can and beverage. Single cans and 4-packs will be available for purchase.  All proceeds from the sale of these sodas directly benefit IC Imagine.  This event is a wonderful way to build community with fellow IC Imagine families while supporting a local business that will be donating a percentage of in-house sales from the event back to our school.  Invite your family and friends as everyone is welcome to attend!

As we approach the start of school, if you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your School Level Principal.
