Upper school

Upper School Families,

Exams are approaching quickly for our Upper School Students.  We would love your help providing drinks and snacks for our students during exams.  Please visit this sign-up genius to sign up.  Snacks can be dropped off at the front office anytime!  We will stay in touch about what we need and what needs to be replenished!

Each student will receive a personalized Exam plan on green paper. If you, as a parent, have any questions about your student's exam schedule, please contact the teacher directly. For Project Lead the Way, AP Classes, Academic Essentials, and some Fine Arts classes, projects will replace written exams. All other courses will have comprehensive exams. These final projects and exams contribute 20% towards the student's final grade. Exam sessions start at 8:00 am or 10:00 am, so students should arrive on time. Ensure your student gets enough rest, eats breakfast, and reaches school by 7:45 am (inside the building) to take their exam. Students should not report to school if they do not have an exam unless they need to participate in attendance make-up. We do have attendance make-up running from 8:00 am-3:00 pm on all exam days. Please note that June 3rd and June 7th will be review days and students should be in attendance.

Please make sure your students are taking care of attendance make-up if needed.  Remember students are only allowed to miss 7 days per course.    For more information about attendance make-up, please visit our website:  https://www.icimagine.org/o/ic-imagine/page/attendance-makeup-schedule-and-waivers

A few students may find that they need to utilize summer school for attendance make-up or course recovery.  Our counselors, Mr. Frank and Ms. Vernau have emailed any parent of a child who is at risk for failure due to attendance and summer school and we will be supporting these students.  More information about summer school can be found here: https://www.icimagine.org/o/ic-imagine/page/upper-school-summer-school-information

Our Parent Advisory Council is seeking new members for the upcoming year.  Visit our Advisory Council webpage where you can learn more.
