Lower School Families,
It has been another wonderful week at 110 Champion Way! Our final quarter is underway and it will be filled with learning, laughter, community events, and much more. Information about Field Day t-shirts, the Kingfisher Fun Run, and Investment Sharing Days is included below.
You may have noticed law enforcement on campus Wednesday morning. We have a partnership with the Buncombe County Sheriff's Office and they are on campus periodically each month. We appreciate their continued support of our community.
End of Year testing happens the last week of school. If your child is going to miss any days the week of June 10th, please notify your child’s teacher and Mrs. Girardi immediately so we can plan accordingly. And speaking of end of year, the schedule for the final two weeks of the school year (June 3-14) will be shared in an upcoming newsletter.
Lastly, our Parent Advisory Council is seeking new members for the upcoming year. If you are interested in applying or would like more information, visit our Advisory Council webpage.
Getting to Know Your Kingfisher 2024-2025:
This form is not mandatory, and you don’t have to submit a new form every year. This data will assist us in pairing students with teachers to the best of our capacity. We do not accommodate requests for specific teachers. This form is due by Friday, April 26th.
Field Day T-Shirts
Field Day is Friday, May 24th. Students participated in a competition to design the t-shirt, and the winner will be announced shortly. The winning design will be featured on the shirt. Sales will conclude on Monday, April 29th. Purchasing a shirt is not mandatory. Click here to buy!
We are excited to partner with Booster to host our first-ever Kingfisher Fun Run fundraiser on Thursday, May 16th. Booster specializes in integrating fitness, leadership, and character into a fun, school-wide, fundraising event. The Kingfisher Fun Run will be held outside on the grass field near the upper parking area. Family and friends from anywhere can support your student and IC Imagine by giving pledges towards the number of laps a student runs or walks. Every student can participate in the Fun Run, with or without pledges. Families are invited to join the fun - come cheer on the students or volunteer during the event.
Our goal is to raise $25,000 toward an outdoor digital sign and other needs identified by the school. Make sure to visit the Kingfisher Fun Run webpage and lookout for more information in the coming weeks. For now, mark your calendars with these key dates!

What about the Derby? For families who may recall the Kingfisher Derby from previous years, the Kingfisher Fun Run is replacing that event. We believe this event is more inclusive for our community because every student can participate and every family can support regardless of financial contribution. Additionally, the Kingfisher Fun Run can easily be shared with your family and friends to ask for support. Lastly, this event brings grade levels together to encourage fitness, team building and social interaction. When students, volunteers, staff and the great IC Imagine community come together and work towards a common fundraising goal, our school is strengthened!
Mark Your Calendars for Investment Sharing Days!
Starting Monday, April 22nd, we will host Investment Sharing Days. The table below has links to each homeroom’s sign-up. Each class has an assigned day for each investment. The weeks are as follows:
