Upper School

Upper School Families,

We had a fantastic week returning from Spring Break. The eclipse marked a delightful start to April. Upper school students went outside around 2:30 to observe the sun's transformation as the moon gradually moved towards maximum totality.

Today is the end of the third quarter of school, you can expect report cards home on Monday, April 29th.  If your student has attendance to clear, please be sure they are taking care of this now!

Families of Seniors, keep an eye on your inbox for an email jam-packed with details about upcoming shindigs - prom, picnics, and a whole lot more fun on the horizon!

Panorama Survey

Between April 29 - May 10, IC Imagine will implement the Panorama Survey. Students in grades 3 - 12 will complete the survey. The information will be used to plan instruction and identify supports that best meet the needs of students. In addition, results will give schools an overview of what skills need more direct instruction, intervention, or support. Learn more on the IC Imagine Mental Health website or the links below to view the surveys. Contact your school counselor for more information.

Please use this form to provide consent by April 24, 2024.

Mental Health Resources

Below are some Mental Health resources that we wanted to share with our community:

  • April 14th:  A community interactive workshop hosted by St James Church in Black Mtn that brings Parents + Kids (5th-12th graders) together to develop some shared knowledge of substance use risks, an understanding of each others' perspectives on it all, and creating an agreement for how to build mutual trust and communication around drugs & alcohol: forevermore. $20 for the 3-hr workshop.

  • April 30th - Understanding & Talking about P*rn FREE live presentation from the awesome folks at Culture Reframed (and if you're not aware of this resource it's THE BEST out there for parents re: p*rn.) Click the link to register!

Have a great long weekend,
