Happy Spring IC Imagine!

The hallways have been full of excitement as we head into Spring Break.  Over the past month, we’ve seen many of our lower school students perform in the Lower School Musical, heard band and chorus students perform, hosted the Book Fair & reading Under the Stars, watched over 150 of our student-athletes participate in spring sports, celebrated with seniors as they received college acceptance letters, and so much more!

A reminder that the deadline to apply for the April 11th lottery is March 31st. We have always found that the greatest promoter of our school is YOU, so thank you. Current families do not need to apply.

I am thrilled to announce that Meg Turner, our Interim Upper School Assistant Principal, has accepted the role of Upper School Principal for the upcoming academic year at IC Imagine. As part of making this decision, we spent time with over forty stakeholders including Upper School teachers, key faculty and Upper School Parents to learn about their experiences since January and to hear of their confidence in Meg.  Since joining the IC Imagine community, she has infused our Upper School with energy and expertise, creating a positive impact. Her dedication to the academic and personal growth of each student is noticeable, and her innovative ideas have already begun to shape a more engaging and supportive learning environment. With her experience and passion for education, we are confident Meg will lead Upper School as it enters its next 10 years.  Join me in congratulating Meg Turner on this well-deserved appointment, and let's look forward to a fantastic academic year ahead.

Additionally, Patrick Shaughnessy will be stepping into the role of Assistant Principal in Upper School for the 2024-25 academic year.  Mr. Shaughnessy is completing his final courses in his Master’s Degree program in School Leadership and has developed rapport with our Upper School students.  His classroom experience and relationships with students and teachers will be an asset to our community as he makes this transition into leadership.  He has spent time this Spring in this role and the students have enjoyed working with him already.

We return from Spring Break on Monday, April 8th, and have so much to look forward to this Spring.  Our final ten weeks will no doubt fly by!
