Middle School Newsletter

Middle School Families,

Registration for the 2024-2025 school year will take place the week of March 11. During this time, rising 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students will have the opportunity to select their fine art elective for the upcoming academic year.

Additionally, We would like to bring to your attention the AVID elective program. AVID, which stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination, is a program designed to support students in their academic endeavors and prepare them for future success. Students interested in participating in the AVID elective will be provided with an application form. The deadline for submission of the AVID application is March 22, 2024.

It's important to note that teachers will also be making recommendations for students who would benefit the most from the AVID elective. Families of students identified as potential candidates will receive more detailed information via email on March 18. This additional information will provide insights into the AVID program, its benefits, and how it aligns with your child's academic goals.

We will send home a copy of students' course selections post spring break for parents to review, sign, and return.
