Upper School Families,

We have so much to celebrate in Upper School!

To view college acceptances, click here and check

out the scholarships we are celebrating below:

-Congratulations to Grace Emmert who is a recipient of the National Honors Society Scholarship.  This is a $3200 scholarship to be used at the University of her choosing.

-Congratulations to Karsyn Adamson for participating in the 75th Mars Hill University Choral Festival. Karsyn is one of a select number of vocalists from around the state selected to participate. This honor includes performing in the festival and a  $92,000 scholarship to Mars Hill.

-Ms. Turner presented senior, Jeremy Bush, with the  National Merit Finalist award letter from College Board. Jeremy received this honor by earning a top score on the PSAT/NMSQT and submitting an additional application highlighting his exceptional academic performance.  National Merit Finalists are also eligible for additional scholarships at participating colleges and universities.

Quarter three is underway, please take time to log into Powerschool with your student and check their grades and attendance.  If a student has missed more than seven days in any course they should be making up time in our attendance make-up sessions with Mrs. Mitchell.

Our Juniors completed the ACT yesterday.  It took a few minutes to get started due to some technician issues but our Juniors were so patient and then settled in and worked diligently on the ACT.  They got to enjoy the first snow cones from our new snow cone machine as they were leaving.

On our most recent Imagination Day students got to pick three activities to participate in and then had pizza and doughnuts at lunch.

The Winter Dance was February 16th and it was a great time.   The Imagineers and Mrs.Bryant worked hard to create a Winter Wonderland for the students to enjoy.

Spring sports are up and running, Women’s Soccer, Men’s Volleyball, Men’s Baseball, Co-Ed tennis, Co-Ed Golf, Co-Ed Lacrosse, and Co-Ed Mountain Biking are rostered and practicing; track tryouts are coming up next week.

Yearbook Donation

Last week was the deadline to purchase a yearbook. However, we made sure to order some extra copies for families. We would love for some of these copies to go to families that cannot afford to purchase a yearbook. Want to help? Click here. All proceeds will go towards scholarship yearbooks for our ICI students

Have a great weekend,
