College Application Reminders for Seniors:

1. Complete the NC Residency Determination form (if you plan to attend college in NC, this is REQUIRED!

2. Create your FSA ID - you will need to keep up with this number until the FAFSA opens later in December. (Make a note of your FSA ID! You will need it each year that you complete the FAFSA in college!)

*At least 1 parent must also create a FSA ID.  (Step 8)  The only reason why both parents would need an FSA ID is if they are married filing taxes separately.

3. If you need a letter of recommendation and haven't already requested it, please speak with that teacher ASAP, especially if you plan to apply by Nov 1! You do NOT need to add their email addresses into the Common App! They will be uploading their letter of recommendation directly into your SCOIR account, rather than the Common App.

4. Many of you have already started to apply to schools and early action deadlines are here, with more arriving on 11/1! PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TO COMPLETE A TRANSCRIPT REQUEST FORM - located right outside my office.  This is how I know that you've applied and need me to send your official transcripts and letters of recommendation to specific colleges via SCOIR.

*Ideally, you submit transcript request forms to me 3-5 days in advance of your application deadlines :)

5. IF you are submitting test scores to colleges (ACT or SAT), it is your responsibility to send those to colleges by logging into your online account (CollegeBoard or ACT.org)
