Upper School Families,
Our students showed up with school spirit last week and demonstrated Kingfisher Pride.
We have wrapped up our first quarter. You will be receiving your student’s report card on Monday 10.30.23. A reminder that if your student has exceeded 7 absences in a course and they have not been granted a waiver or made up time they will receive an FF for that class, despite a passing grade in the course, until it is changed. The student will not receive credit for the course until that has been cleared. Please review the attendance page of our website for more details.
10th grade students are taking the PreACT on Wednesday 10.25 at 8:00 am. Families of 10th grade students will receive a separate communication with details that pertain to those students.
We would like to bring to your attention the Instagram account "iciconfessions" and similar accounts that have been created without our permission, using our school name, logo, or initials. We are deeply concerned about the content being posted, which is often derogatory and targets specific teachers and students by name. These accounts are not in line with our school's vision and values and do not represent the kind of community we strive to cultivate. click here to read more.
We still need your help in addressing this. Please take a moment over the weekend to check-in on your child’s social media accounts, cell phones, and computers in your homes as well as have direct conversations with your children. Through this process, you may be able to find the source of this account and stop what is happening. We ask you to partner with us to ensure that everyone at IC Imagine feels safe and supported each day. Often adolescents need support in understanding that what they perceive as funny or harmless can actually have a significant impact, and we believe this is one of those times.
We value your children and our faculty and acknowledge how lucky we are to have a community that will work with us to address these issues.
Nut Aware Campus
We are a Nut Aware school. We have several students with severe nut allergies. In order to provide a safe learning environment for our children, we must closely monitor and manage what we allow into the school for lunches and snacks. We ask that you do not send any peanuts, peanut butter, or foods containing peanuts or tree nuts to be eaten for lunch or snacks here at school. Click here to read more.
PowerSchool Changes
Previously, families were asked to contact our Data Managers if they needed to modify their PowerSchool information. However, we have now streamlined the process to make it easier for families to make adjustments themselves. By logging into your student's PowerSchool account, families can update student information, including addresses, phone numbers, emergency contacts, and more. This cannot be done through the PowerSchool App. It must be completed on a web browser. See the steps below to make any necessary changes.

Community Service
Mr. Macken's advisory class will be going to MANNA Foodbank on November 3rd and Ms. Bryant's advisory class will be going to the Asheville Humane Society on November 7th. Students in these advisory classes have been provided with a waiver that must be signed by a parent in order for the student to attend.
