mountains with Welcome Kingfishers written

IC Imagine,

It has been an incredible day at 110 Champion Way as we kicked off our 10th year of educating students in western North Carolina.  Whether your family is returning for your 10th year, joined us along the way, or started today, we are thrilled you have chosen IC Imagine for your children and are part of the IC Imagine family.  We have so much to be proud of, and as such, will be celebrating our 10-year anniversary all year long.

The start of a new school year is filled with excitement and enthusiasm for the year ahead, and that was evident in the smiling faces we saw across the building and on campus today.  We know growing and sustaining a thriving community requires everyone to do their part, so one key component of today was setting expectations and reviewing our PBIS Matrix DIVE with students.   Kingfishers DIVE in together!  I encourage you to ask your children how they learned to DIVE into school today and how they plan to DIVE in tomorrow.  You can learn more about our DIVE Matrix here

I extend a huge thanks to each of you for a successful arrival and dismissal. These two times of the day are critical to ensure we safely welcome our students each morning and return them to their families in the afternoon.  I thank you for respecting the procedures we have in place, for engaging with our staff as they direct traffic, and for your patience.  From past experience, I can assure you each day will get smoother and faster.  I often remind families that one of the easiest things they can do is turn onto campus with a patient heart knowing our staff are doing their best to ensure the safety of everyone.  Our arrival and dismissal procedures and times can be found here.

On behalf of the IC Imagine faculty and staff, thank you again for being part of our community.  In our tenth year, we continue to build on traditions of the past and rise to meet the challenges of our future in exciting ways. I am excited to DIVE into year ten at IC Imagine together.

Warmly,

Jenn Townley
Head of School
