We are hosting our 2nd Annual Fun Run to raise monies for school improvement projects that benefit all our students. Like last year, we are enlisting the help of Booster, who specializes in integrating fitness, leadership and character into a fun, school-wide, fundraising event, to bring the Fun Run to life!

The Kingfisher Fun Run is a 10-day program and our biggest fundraiser this school year . On Wednesday, February 26th, we will be asking all families to register on Booster and then begin sharing their personal link with family and friends who can support IC Imagine by pledging an amount for the number of laps a student runs or walks or simply making a one-time donation. This effort culminates with the Kingfisher Fun Run on Friday, March 21st! Lower School students will be running, while our older students will have opportunities to volunteer and cheer on our runners.

The success of this event comes from the expansive reach that families make through email, text and social media sharing! We have many fun and exciting classroom, grade level and school level incentives which should encourage all our families to register and share with others. Anyone, anywhere can support! Every student can participate in the fun run, with or without pledges.

FAQs

How do families register their child(ren)?

  • First, families sign up on MYBOOSTER.COM.

  • Then, they register their child as a participant on MYBOOSTER.COM by searching for IC Imagine.

  • Students get a FREE prize just for being registered.

What does this event look like based on the age of my child(ren)?

  • Lower School students

    • All students will participate in the Fun Run on 3/21.  Every student can participate, with or without pledges.  

    • Families will register and then share their link with others.  Family and friends from anywhere can support IC Imagine by giving pledges towards the number of laps your child completes or simply making a one-time donation. 

    • Families are invited to join the fun by coming on 3/21 to cheer on our students and/or volunteer during the event.

  • Middle and Upper School students

    • These students will not be running; however, we still ask families to register and share this fundraiser to earn money for our school!  Anyone can make a one-time donation to our school through the giving platform. 

How can students get donations?

  • Families connect students to donors by sharing their fundraising link on Facebook, through email, or even a text.

  • Donations are made using the students’ fundraising link!

  • The key to this event is to register and share!  Last year’s Fun Run was a huge success due to the number of individuals outside our immediate parents (think: grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors, business associates, friends) who supported our students.

Will my student really complete 30-35 laps? How big is the track?

  • Yes, even kindergarteners! The track is about 1/16th of a mile, 1/4 the size of a normal high school track. Most students will complete 30-35 laps with a target goal of 30 laps).

Does my student have to run or can they walk?

  • Either! The most important thing is to have FUN!

How do donors pay?

  • Donors will make all pledges and payments online. Donors will receive an email after the Kingfisher Fun Run with the amount of their payment based on how many laps were completed.

Can I write a check?

  • For donations not made on MYBOOSTER.COM, you can still turn in cash or check. Please make checks payable to IC Imagine and put Fun Run in the notes/memo section.
