Our transportation program uses community-based bus stops to pick-up and drop-off students each day.  Stops are added as bus drivers are secured and funding is available. Due to the current shortage of bus drivers, we do not have a timeline for the onboarding additional stops.  As a charter school, IC Imagine does not receive funds designated for transportation like traditional schools.

  • Families interested in using this stop, must complete the Bus Application and submit their Rider Agreement by Wednesday, July 31st.

APPLY FOR A BUS ROUTE

We accept applications for bus routes throughout the year; however, there is no guarantee a spot is available as many routes have a wait list.  To be considered for ridership, families must complete the following two steps.

1. Complete the online Bus Rider Application. Submission of an application does not guarantee placement.  We expect each bus to be full with a waitlist.  We will communicate with families if they have been assigned or placed on the waitlist, and provide information about how to effectively engage as an assigned or waitlisted family.

2. Submit your Bus Rider Agreement to the Front Office or email to studentservices@icimagine.org.  Signed agreements are required to be considered for placement on a bus.  Copies are available at the front desk if you are unable to print one at home.

• Families are encouraged to download the IC Imagine app for mobile devices and allow notifications.

PICK UP AND DROP OFF TIMES & DETAILS

• Parents must park in the designated parking area behind Sportsman's Warehouse.

• Parents may not drive up to the bus and drop their children off.

• Parents must not pass school buses when the bus's flashing red lights are on.

• Be on time!  The bus will not wait for you in the morning and you should be waiting for the bus when it arrives in the afternoon.

  • For students who miss the morning bus, families must bring their children to school.

  • Students who are not picked up at the end of the day will be brought back to school where they will acquire a late pick-up charge per our Attendance Policy (401) and families will be required to pick them up from school.

BUS DRIVERS

We continue to seek bus drivers, so if you know anyone who has their CDL license and is seeking work, please direct them to apply through our Job Board on NC Teacher Match.

FUTURE ROUTES

When a new route is ready to begin, we will notify families of the Community Bus Stop’s location.  Families will be given the opportunity to apply if they live near that area and would like to use the bus.  We will communicate with families if their children have been assigned or placed on the waitlist, and provide information about how to effectively engage as an assigned or waitlisted family.
