AVID
Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) is a global nonprofit organization that operates with one guiding principle: Hold students accountable to the highest standards and provide the necessary academic and social support, and they will rise to the challenge. AVID’s College Readiness System helps schools move to a more equitable, structured, and student-centered approach to teaching and learning while bringing research-based curricula and strategies to students each day that develop critical thinking, literacy, and math skills across all content areas.
AVID is organized around a two-track approach to serving schools and students by focusing on infusing the AVID curriculum in every classroom through school-wide implementation and providing an AVID elective to select students.
